Design Technology

Within our DT lessons the children will work on the skills needed to engage in the designing and making process. The children will learn about cooking and nutrition; textiles; mechanical systems; electrical systems as well as understanding computing to aid design. The children progressively build on their skills in these areas as they move through school. Design and technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. Using creativity and imagination, pupils design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values.
